Notes from the 10 Sept 2007 APLN Seattle meeting

Five people attended tonight: David Anderson, Stuart Corcoran, Dragos Dumitriu, Brian Henderson, David Socha

Discussion included:

• David Anderson covering some of the items that came up on this morning's APLN National conference call, including the status of the Learning & Recognition subgroup. 
• A longish discussion of the pros and cons of building an accreditation program.
• How to attract more attendees.  Perhaps have people suggest Open Space topics 2-3 weeks before the event, so that people can get some idea of what they are coming for.
• Who might be able to do a talk in the October meeting.  David Anderson will follow up on some leads.
• Whether we should try to host the Spring 2008 APLN Leadership Conference.  General feeling seems positive toward this.  David Anderson and Jim Benson could do the business side.  We are looking for someone to volunteer to be the Event Coordinator.

Next meeting will be Monday October 1, 2007
